The power of Beliefs and their effects.

A legend that has made an indelible impression on me is about a baby elephant that is attached to a tree with a chain to protect it from being stuck in the forest. The baby elephant evolved over time to become a full-size giant but the chain and tree stayed the same. The full-grown elephant appears to assume that the chain and tree are powerful and, by splitting them, it cannot run free.

The tale shows me that we are both growing up with convictions and bringing all some baggage. If the full-grown elephant decided to, it may have cut the chain; the tree was uprooted. The value system proceeded to convince the elephant that the tree and the chain are better.

We are no special, as humans. The belief system gets ingrained as we evolve and is built by our previous experiences. Most sometimes the idea acts like a subconscious mind that tries to drag us out if we try to bring in some improvement.

Many of our actions emanate from conviction.

Faith AS A LENS That then is just about Belief. Belief is defined as a sense of confidence, assurance and perseverance which sometimes leads to rigidity. What encounters one passes through, it gets created over a period of time. It stands on the Knowledge, Context and Perception Foundations.

The root of belief is most often from a rational intuition which leads to an opinion by emotions and leads to conviction over a period of time.

A confidence in everything is a sense of assurance, that's how we perceive ourselves, others and the universe.

Beliefs are also one of the big barriers and mirrors that we use to view the universe.

TYPES OF BELIEFS Several times we get the impression that the beliefs are mostly harmful, but even the beliefs may be good.

  1. Strengthening belief: Discover and unlock the opportunity, and believe it is possible; have ample performance references.
Self-limiting conviction: Future restraints, Gets affected by societal evidence and perception, they prevent you from doing everything you can.
Conditioned belief: Conditioned convictions are the habits of thought established at a young age, typically by the time you enter school they are firmly in position. They should become the foundation for the potential decision taking and problem solving. However, the sly part with ingrained values is that as an individual you might not be conscious that you are relying upon them.
BELIEF-SHIFT Belief mechanism induces a human to adopt an auto-pilot mode and tends to resist all new inputs coming in their direction. But new beliefs are created. The thoughts and introspections in the discussions around Coaching can contribute to a change in perception that demonstrates transitions.

New perception is created by the re-connection of references and experiences which lead to new interpretations.

I've seen the habits in the Coaching interactions that are just the tip of the iceberg. The deep dive refers to the convictions that are reflected as the thoughts of the Coachee move.

The Coachee's ability is uncovered when the Beliefs change happens on the Coaching trip. When one constructs the Coaching strength, the opportunity to pose the killer questions helps the Coachee think and adjust their perceptions about their examples and experiences.

While writing this post, I was aware of all those changes that contributed to the Coaching sessions, the reason for the change of perception.

Everything you have witnessed in the change in perception that induces changes.

I want to benefit from your practice.
